Marloe, an independent watchmaker focused on crafting traditional, hand-wound timepieces, wanted their custom watch packaging to reflect the brand’s dedication to quality and timeless craftsmanship. Rejecting the rush towards digital watches, Marloe embraces the concept of slow living, emphasizing the beauty of manual mechanical movements. For them, packaging is an extension of this philosophy, bringing elegance and sophistication to every step of the customer journey.
We produced 1,000 luxury wristwatch boxes, split between two designs to complement the distinct color schemes of Marloe’s collections. Each box featured four components: a tray, a slipcase, a custom foam insert, and an information card. The custom foam insert packaging ensured that each hand-wound timepiece was held securely in place, offering maximum protection during shipping while also enhancing the unboxing experience.
The outer slipcases were covered in Colorplan paper, split between two colors, with a clear foil logo applied to create a subtle yet striking branding detail. A 70mm-wide Colorplan bellyband was designed to slide over the slipcase and tray, adding an additional layer of refinement. The bellybands featured a blind embossed logo in one position, with the foil color differing between designs to separate the collections.
This attention to detail in the custom watch packaging reflects Marloe’s values of tradition, design, and craftsmanship, making the unboxing experience as memorable and high-end as the timepieces themselves.
